The iPad 2, well what do we know? We speculate, and guess, we have no idea if there even is an iPad 2. But we already have the specs for the cases that reveal possible sd card slots, and gsm sim card options. We get all this info via facebook posts from apple insiders.

So how does apple use social media to hype their products?
Can you use social media to hype your products in the same way?

Big questions, and you can use your iPad to post your facebook and twitter entries on the subject.

In all likelihood you can market your products via facebook in a hyper-local way. However creating hype and curiosity is probably not the route you want to take with your small business products. Being straight forward and clear about what you have to offer is your best bet in a hyper-local approach.

Not sure what the deal is but YouTube and adwords are both down. Sure china didn’t hack google and take them down. That’s like taking out a plane that has 700. Redundant engines just in case.

Careful in the gym parking lot, there has to be a hardened iPad cover strong enough to protect it from the bad drivers. Why are the drivers in a gym parking lot worse? My guess is the low blood sugar from the workout, it does seem to be specific to those leaving the gym.

Be careful, the iPad can shock you.

When running on treadmill, watching your favorite star trek movie, you can get shocked. Right in the ear actually, over and over again. No, that’s not the movie making a loud painful noise, that’s actual pain. It could be static but it doesn’t start until the sweat starts to build around an in the ear on mile two.

Now the headphones I used were aftermarket, mostly because standard ipod phones wont win a battle against a braw in the dryer, so I had to get a new pair. Clearly the headphones are what shocked me, but it doesn’t shock when just in an iPod, only in the iPad.

I use my iPad for everything. I have a screen for each purpose, one for work, fun, exercise etc.

When running long distance on a treadmill you can run 11miles, at about 5 or 6 mph and watch star trek the latest movie from credit to credit. It’s a great way to stave off the boredom that comes after about 30min of running, yet alone 2hrs.

Get movies on your iPad, get a long cord on your headphones, then get healthy.

Flash is the web plugin that let’s parts of a web site animate and interact with the user. A lot of sites use adobe flash, most people have no idea that their browser is showing them flash. You find out fast when you use the iPad because there’s a lot of sites out there that don’t show up right at all on the iPad safari browser. I’m going to come up with a list of sites that don’t show up right, sites that are commonly used.

Many sites have a mobile version, unfortunately a lot of those sites falsely detect the iPad browser as a mobile browser. The problem is that mobile versions are smaller and less capable.
Adwords is one site that is not fully usable.
Ancestor is another, because the little leaf doest click.

Good thing is wells Fargo works well.

Google apps are great, they allow me to have a solid enterprise class email server, which means I have centralized contacts/calendar and mail. It allows me to save docs online instead of just on my pc. It allows me to create and en word docs and excel sheets. Share files with anyone. It’s great stuff really. So how does that extend to my ad. Can I use all those google apps seamlessly on my iPad. I will soon fond out.

I liked google wave, but I could tell it was different. I have seen this before, a technology that is ahead of it’s time, users not ready for it. I think it needed to come into the scene more naturally, and it needed to integrate more seamlessly into the other ways things are done. Google wave had capabilities and it’s a shame it has to go, but I understand why it has to go. I know I liked it, but didn’t use it as much as it needed to be used to have it last.

Blackberry seems to be set to corm out with a tablet to compete with iPad. I still do not believe it will be able to out sell iPad, but I like to watch. The cool thing about the black pad is that it’s rumored to have two cameras, one facing out, the other facing in. Video cameras for video conferencing. It’s going to sell, but iPad will come out with a cam, and it’ll sell too.
